Notice on the Press Conference and Group Interview on October 20

The Press Center for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will host its fourth press conference, and fifth group interview on October 20 (Thursday) in the Press Conference Hall on the second floor of the Media Center Hotel. Journalists will attend at a sub-venue in the Century Hall on the third floor of the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing. The schedules are as follows:

The fourth press conference: 10:00 a.m., October 20

Ms. Shen Beili, Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Mr. Ma Zhaoxu, member of the CPC Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vice Minister, will exchange ideas with journalists on the topic  "Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy: Guiding Major-Country Diplomacy with Chinese Characteristics to New Success."

The fifth group interview: 7: 30 p.m., October 20

The spokespersons for the delegations from Qinghai, Ningxia, and Xinjiang, central Party and state organs, central financial institutions and central enterprises (in Beijing) will meet the press to brief on the delegations’ study and discussion on the report to the 20th CPC National Congress, and answer questions from journalists. They are:

1.Chen Ruifeng, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Xining Municipal Committee

2. Li Jinke, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Committee and head of the Publicity Department

3. Zhang Chunlin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee and head of the Publicity Department

4. Zou Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary of the Work Committee of the Central Party and State Organs

5. Pan Gongsheng, member of the CPC Committee of the People’s Bank of China and Deputy Governor, and Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange and Administrator

6. Qian Zhimin, Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of the State Power Investment Corporation and Chairman

Notes: Journalists may enter the sub-venue within 60 minutes before the interviews after presenting their press cards for covering the Congress. Journalists staying at Xiyuan Hotel should take shuttle buses to the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing with the said press cards. All participants must show negative results of nucleic acid tests taken within 24 hours before the interviews (The nucleic acid test time shown on Beijing Health Kit is 0 or 1 day), and body temperature no higher than 37.3 ℃. All participants must show a green (normal) Travel History Code. Journalists can only attend the events after showing the required health codes and body temperature.
