Notice on the Press Conference and Group Interviews on October 19

The Press Center for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will host its third press conference, and third and fourth group interviews on October 19 (Wednesday) in the Press Conference Hall on the second floor of the Media Center Hotel. Journalists will attend at a sub-venue in the Century Hall on the third floor of the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing. The schedules are as follows:

The third press conference: 10:00 a.m., October 19

Mr. Yin Bai, Deputy Secretary-General of the Commission of Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, Ms. He Rong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Party Leadership Group of the Supreme People’ s Court, Executive Vice President and Grand Justice of the First Rank, Mr. Tong Jianming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, First Deputy Prosecutor General and Grand Prosecutor of the First Rank, Mr. Xu Ganlu, member of the CPC Committee of the Ministry of Public Security and Vice Minister, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the National Immigration Administration and Administrator, and Ms. Zuo Li, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Justice and Vice Minister will exchange ideas with journalists on the topic “Under the Guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, Strive to Build Higher-Standard Rule of Law in China.”

The third group interview: 3: 00 p.m., October 19

The spokespersons for the delegations from Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan will meet the press, introduce the delegations’ study and discussion on the report to the 20th CPC National Congress, and answer questions from journalists. They are:

The fourth group interview: 7: 30 p.m., October 19

The spokespersons for the delegations from Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Xizang, Shaanxi, and Gansu will meet the press, introduce the delegations’ study and discussion on the report to the 20th CPC National Congress, and answer questions from journalists. They are:

Notes: Journalists may enter the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing within 60 minutes before the interviews only after going through security check at the main entrance and presenting their press cards for covering the Congress. Journalists staying at Xiyuan Hotel should take shuttle buses to the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing with the said press cards. All participants must show negative results of nucleic acid tests taken within 24 hours before the interviews (The nucleic acid test time shown on Beijing Health Kit is 0 or 1 day), and body temperature no higher than 37.3 ℃. All participants must show a green (normal) Travel History Code. Journalists can only attend the events after showing the required health codes and body temperature.
