Notice on the Press Conferences on October 17

The Press Center for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will host its first and second press conferences on October 17 (Monday) in the Press Conference Hall on the second floor of Media Center Hotel. Journalists will attend the events at a sub-venue in the Century Hall on the third floor of the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing. The schedules are as follows:

The first press conference: 10:00 a.m. on October 17

Mr. Zhao Chenxin, member of the CPC Leadership Group of the National Development and Reform Commission and Vice Chairman, Mr. Cong Liang, member of the CPC Leadership Group of the National Development and Reform Commission, Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration and Director, and Mr. Ren Jingdong, member of the CPC Leadership Group of the National Energy Administration and Deputy Director, will brief journalists on how China will apply the new development philosophy, foster a new pattern of development, promote high-quality development, and advance the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization. They will also take questions.

The Second Press Conference: 15:00 p.m. on October 17

Mr. Xiao Pei, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the National Supervisory Commission of the PRC, Mr. Xu Qifang, Deputy Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Mr. Tian Peiyan, Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, will brief journalists on how the CPC will unswervingly exercise comprehensive and strict self-governance over the Party and further advance the great new project of Party building in the New Era, and take questions.

All journalists are welcome to attend.

Notes: Journalists may enter the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing 90 minutes in advance through security check at the main entrance with their press cards for covering the Congress. Journalists staying at Xiyuan Hotel may take shuttle buses to the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing with the press cards for covering the Congress. All participants must show negative results of nucleic acid tests conducted within 24 hours before the press conferences (The nucleic acid test time shown on Beijing Health Kit is 0 or 1 day), and body temperature shall be no higher than 37.3 ℃. All participants must show a green (normal) Travel History Code on their telecommunication data-based travel itinerary applet. Journalists can only attend the events after showing the required health codes and body temperature.
