Notice on the Reporting Tours from October 17 to 20

The Press Center for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will continue to organize multiple reporting tours for journalists from home and abroad after the opening of the Congress.

The reporting tours from October 17 to 20 are arranged as follows.

Monday, October 17

Experience the intelligent transport system in Beijing (8:50-12:00)

Location: Beijing Rail Transit Command Center

Departure time: 8:50 am

Meeting place: Entrance to the lobby of Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing

Brief introduction: Journalists will be invited to explore the efficient functioning of the “brain” of Beijing subway lines, experience the modernized management of the urban rail transit in the city, get to know about the overall situation and construction history of the Beijing rail transit lines, as well as the work scenarios of the rail transit command center.

Tuesday, October 18

1. Ecological and environmental protection (8:20-12:40)

Location: Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone

Departure time: 8:20 am

Meeting place: Entrance to the lobby of Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing

Brief introduction: Beijing Municipality, Tianjin Municipality and Hebei Province are jointly building a “3+N” hydrogen energy industry ecosystem and a demonstration area for high-end hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing and application, in an effort to promote the construction of hydrogen energy demonstration city clusters and make new contributions to China’s ecological construction.

2.Tongrentang Zero Store (12:30-17:20)

Location: Zero Store for Tongrentang Zhima Health in Daxing District, Beijing

Departure time: 12:30 am

Meeting place: Entrance to the lobby of Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing

Brief introduction: Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a treasure of the Chinese nation. Combining the dietary therapy, nourishing therapy and medical treatment, the Tongrentang new retail super concept store promotes the concept of health and wellness. Journalists will be invited to have an immersive experience of the unique charm of TCM culture and feel the innovation and development of the century-old brand.

Wednesday, October 19

1.Innovation in intelligent manufacturing (8:40-12:00)

Location: Beijing section of China’s high-speed rail

Departure time: 8:40 am

Meeting place: Entrance to the lobby of Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing

Brief introduction: Journalists will be invited to visit the base for bullet train maintenance to learn about the overall development of China’s high-speed rail and the layout of the high-speed rail Beijing section.

2.The Olympic Spirit (12:30-18:00)

Location: Shougang Park

Departure time: 12:30 am

Meeting place: Entrance to the lobby of Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing

Brief introduction: Journalists will be invited to visit the unique Olympic venue and industrial relic, to explore today’s Shougang Park which vividly exhibits how the Olympic Games have promoted urban development and the revival of old industrial areas.

Thursday, October20

New mission for and new forces of China’s emergency rescue (8:30-12:00)

Location: Special Task Force of Beijing Fire Rescue Corps

Departure time: 8:30 am

Meeting place: Entrance to the lobby of Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing

Brief introduction: Journalists will have a chance to watch various real-life scenario drills such as building collapse rescue, fire extinguishing in a high-rise building, and a display of fire engines and fire-fighting equipment, to experience the new force of China’s emergency rescue at close range.

● Participants should strictly abide by the following epidemic prevention and control requirements:

1. Negative nucleic acid test certificate within 24 hours before start of the activity;

2. Green Health Code and Travel History Code;

3. No record of traveling outside Beijing within 7 days before the activity;

4. No travel history to medium or high-risk areas in the Chinese mainland, overseas travel history, or contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases in the 10 days before the activity;

5. Body temperature no higher than 37.3℃. No suspected symptoms such as cough, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue, and loss of smell or taste;

6. All journalists participating the activity should take the bus of the Press Center to and from the site of the activity.

1. Journalists who apply for the activities need to hold the press card covering the Congress;

2. The application deadline for each activity is 12:00 at noon a day before the event starts;
